Raisa Chowdhury
Raisa Chowdhury is an accomplished professional with experience in technology, business strategy, consulting, and data ethics. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a focus in Business Analytics and Data Science from the University of Calgary.
Currently, Raisa works as a Data Ethics Specialist at TELUS, where she supports responsible data enablement and helps evaluate the potential impact on people and society when collecting, using, and sharing data.
Her previous experience includes serving as TELUS’ AI Strategy Prime, where she defined and oversaw all AI initiatives within her business unit, and as a Consultant at IBM Canada’s Enterprise Strategy practice, supporting clients through their digital transformations.
Raisa is passionate about the potential for ethical technology use to drive social benefits. She was selected as one of 13 global Design and Technology fellows with the Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics (FASPE) and she participated in the Artificial Intelligence for Public Health program with the University of Washington.
