Employment Integration and Advancement Project

Program Description

The Employment Integration & Advancement Project helps immigrant women build practical, in-demand skills and prepare for meaningful employment in Canada. Through personalized employment support, workplace training, and digital skills development, participants gain the confidence and knowledge needed to succeed in today’s labour market.

This project supports immigrant women living in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and the Northwest Territories as they build successful careers in Canada.

Eligibility Clients

  • Live in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, or the Northwest Territories
  • Immigrant women who are permanent residents, convention refugees, work permit holders, MOME2023 participants, CUAET holders, or naturalized Canadian Citizens with language or cultural barriers to employment 
  • Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4 or higher

What You’ll Gain

  • Individual Employment Counseling
  • Resume Writing & Mock Interview Sessions
  • Employment Workshops including topics in customer service, communication skills, workplace etiquette and more
  • Computer training including topics in Computer Basics, Digital Marketing & Social-Media Management, MS Office Suite, Graphic Design, Cloud Services, Cloud Storage and Cybersecurity, MS Dynamics, Salesforce and Power BI.
  • Certifications in First Aid, WHMIS & ProServe (Alberta clients only)

Additional Program Information

  • Childcare and transportation reimbursement (where eligible)
  • Referrals to additional CIWA programs and community resources
