Hospitality Training Program for Immigrant Women

Program Description

This program supports immigrant women with occupational specific training that will provide the knowledge, skills and practical experience to find employment in the hospitality and tourism industry.

Program Details

  • 8 weeks of occupational skills training
  • 4 weeks of combined work experience and training
  • Customized training in partnership with SAIT
  • Computer skill enhancement and employment counselling
  • Interview and resume skills training

Eligible Clients

This project is available to immigrant women who are permanent residents, refugees, or Canadian citizens and have Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLBs) of 6 or higher.

Additional Program Information

  • Clients are trained to work in the hospitality and tourism industry related to event coordination and management (food and beverage, restaurant etc.)
  • Individual job search support available for all participants
  • Follow-up support after program completion
  • Referrals to other CIWA programs help participant’s access additional support services
