Culturally Responsive Counselling for Seniors and Youth

Program Description

The program provides immigrant seniors and youth with the opportunity to become involved in the community, build meaningful connections, and develop a sense of belonging.

Program Details

  • One-on-one counselling
  • Group educational sessions focusing on women’s health, mental health and well-being
  • Group wellness and community engagement activities
  • In-home visitation available as needed
  • Intergenerational activities between seniors and youth

Eligible clients

The program is available for immigrant youth ages 15 – 30 years old and women aged 50+, who are permanent residents.

Additional Program Information

The program provides: 

  • Referrals to basic needs and services
  • Transportation support to access community resources
  • First language support
  • Childcare is available (restrictions may apply)
