In partnership with Alberta Mindfulness Association, this new project – Social Recovery for Immigrant Women – brings a mindfulness approach to help immigrant women dealing with gender-based violence and/or mental health concerns that arise from challenges in settlement, relationships, self-esteem, and other stressors.
We are inviting immigrant women, including Canadian Citizens, to take part in the development and enhancement of our new tools.
During this process, participants will:
- Experience the Mindfulness Hut
- Learn mindfulness techniques to cope with difficult emotions and situations
- Receive customized mindfulness based cognitive therapy through one-on-one and group sessions
- Access to mindfulness worksheets and resources for self-care practices
