Monah Gichuyia

Monah Kathomi Gichuyia is a lawyer working at WSP, with over 10 years’ experience practicing law in Kenya and in Calgary. Born and raised in Kenya, she relocated to Canada to pursue a Master of Laws degree at the University of Calgary. Before joining WSP, Monah worked at Ferus Group of Companies and also at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP. She also holds a Master of Laws Degree and a Bachelor of Laws Degree both from the University of Nairobi in Kenya; as well as an Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Monah has experience advising on a range of corporate commercial matters, and is well verse in corporate governance issues.
Monah believes in giving back. She has been involved in various charities and volunteer groups, including the Rotary Club. Volunteering with CIWA is therefore an opportunity for her to participate in the improvement of women’s lives who are walking a similar path that she walked when she first moved here. In her spare time, Monah enjoys the outdoors, making and meeting friends, and exploring different cultures.
