Counselling Supports for Immigrant Families (Chestermere)

Program Description

In partnership with City of Chestermere, this program provides culturally sensitive counselling supports to Chestermere residents. The program offers supportive counselling around relationship challenges, help with parenting and cross-cultural issues, domestic violence and conflict, depression, anxiety and stress management, and more.

Program Details

  • Culturally- sensitive individual, couples and family counselling
  • Emotional support for clients
  • Workshops and support groups
  • Community resource referrals and advocacy
  • Services are delivered in Chestermere
    • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm 
    • Home of Synergy – 340 Merganser Dr W, Chestermere

Eligible Clients

The program is available for all immigrant women, men, and their families, ages 14 years old and older, regardless of immigration status.

Additional Program Information

  • The program assists immigrant women, their spouses and families
  • Clients receive support in their first language if needed
  • Referrals to other CIWA programs help clients access additional support services
  • Client confidentiality is maintained at all times
