Kristine Aghajanova holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Armenia and is a CPA in Alberta. She has over 20 years of experience in accounting and finance and currently serves as Senior Manager, Accounting for Alberta Homes at Brookfield Residential, where she supports financial reporting, business operations, and strategic initiatives.
Kristine immigrated to Canada from Armenia with her husband and young son in 2009. Since then, she has remained actively involved with CIWA in a variety of capacities. Her journey with CIWA began as a participant in the Links to Success program in 2010. Over the years, she has given back to the organization by mentoring immigrant women, volunteering her time, and serving as a business partner to support participants from various CIWA programs, and contributing to Board committee initiatives.
Having personally experienced the positive impact of CIWA’s programs, Kristine is passionate about helping immigrant women build confidence, develop skills, and achieve success in their new communities. As a proud CIWA alumna, she has always sought opportunities to contribute to the organization’s mission and support its continued growth.
Joining the Board represents a meaningful opportunity for Kristine to deepen her involvement with CIWA and further contribute to an organization that has played an important role in her own settlement journey. She is committed to bringing her financial expertise, leadership experience, and passion for community service to help advance CIWA’s vision and create a lasting impact for immigrant women and their families.
