Hospitality Training Program

Program Description

Delivered in collaboration with SAIT, this free 12-week full-time program supports immigrant women in building the skills, confidence, and experience needed to succeed in the hospitality and tourism industry in Canada.

The program runs Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with three intakes each year: February, June, and September. 

Eligibility Clients

  • Immigrant women who are permanent residents or Convention refugees
  • Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 6 or higher
  • Must not have previous Canadian academic
  • Unemployed, underemployed women (not
    receiving EI benefits)
  • Participants who can commit to a full-time, in-person program for 3 months

Additional Program Information

  • Clients are trained to work in the hospitality and tourism industry related to event coordination and management (food and beverage, restaurant etc.)

  • Access to future learning grant opportunities.
  • Referrals to additional CIWA programs and community resources.
