Workplace English Language Learning (WELL)
Program Description
This free workplace English program combines English language practice with practical workplace training to help immigrant women build confidence and succeed in professional settings. Through interactive classes, digital skills development, guest speakers, and career readiness activities, participants gain the practical workplace and communication skills needed in today’s Canadian job market, whether starting their first job or advancing their career. The program offers five intakes each year, in February, April, August, October and December. With classes held Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Eligibility Clients
- Immigrant women who are permanent residents, convention refugees or Canadian Citizens
- Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4 or higher
- 18 years of age or older
- Participants who can commit to a full-time, in-person program for 8 weeks
