Find Me a Home Project
Find Me a Home provides temporary accommodation to multi-barriered immigrant/refugee women who are fleeing abusive situations by providing emergency and temporary accommodation for them and their children in a motel or hotel for a maximum of 3 nights stay until stable housing is established.
It also aids clients with housing crisis situations such as evictions, or inability to pay their damage deposits by providing a onetime rental subsidy paid directly to the landlord or leasing company. Based on their unique needs, clients receive first language support and are referred to other CIWA and community programs. This holistic approach ensures at-risk women and their children obtain necessities, legal guidance, and referrals to health, counselling, employment and community services.
