Program Description

The program equips immigrant women with the tools, skills and knowledge necessary for a successful job search.

Eligible Clients

The program is available to all immigrant women who are permanent residents, refugees and Canadian citizens with language and cultural barriers.

Additional Program Information

  • Employment workshop topics include but are not limited to career planning & job search, resume writing, interview skills, Canadian workplace culture, marketing transferable skills, LinkedIn…etc.

  • Accounting software training (QuickBooks and Simply Accounting Software) is available for immigrant women who are Permanent Residents or Canadian citizens, must have education and/or work experience from home country in accounting with minimum CLB of level 6 or higher

  • The program also offers Skill Development and Networking Support for Young Immigrant Women, which focuses on helping young immigrant women ages 15 to 29 with Financial literacy education, networking opportunities, mentoring support from career professionals & addressing employment needs

  • The Employment Integration & Advancement Services project offers participants access to computer training, job search support and certifications in First Aid, WHMIS, and ProServe. It is available for immigrant women with CLB 5-6 who are residing in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Northwest Territories. Topics for computer training include: Computer Basics, Digital Marketing & Social-Media Management, MS Office Suite, Graphic Design, Cloud Services, Cloud Storage and Cybersecurity, MS Dynamics, Salesforce and Power BI.
