Job Training
CIWA’s Job Training Programs are specifically tailored to support immigrant women in Canada, regardless of their educational background or work experience. The programs aim to equip these women with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the Canadian job market. Based on their previous work experience, education level, and areas of interest, women can choose from a wide array of options. Whether they aspire to work in companionship, childcare, the food service industry, or retail, CIWA has a program that fits their goals.
Training Programs
Among the many programs available, Companion Training provides participants with the necessary skills to work as companions for elderly or disabled individuals.
The Childcare Training Pathway is designed for those interested in pursuing a career in childcare, equipping them with the knowledge and certifications needed to excel in this field. The Fast Track Employment Training for Immigrant Women program focuses on providing intensive training to expedite participants’ entry into the job market.
Additionally, CIWA offers specialized programs such as Food Service Training, Line Cook Training, and Modular Employment and Retail Training Programs, ensuring a wide range of opportunities for women from diverse backgrounds.

Childcare Training Pathway
Childcare Training Pathway trains and assists low skilled immigrant women to obtain a Level 1 Early Childhood Educator Certificate.
Fast Track Employment Training for Immigrant Women
Fast Track Employment Training for Immigrant Women provides mid-skilled immigrant women training in one of 3 tracks, individualized support and employment skills training.
Food Service Training
Food Service Training provides low to mid skilled immigrant women with training to enter the quick service industry.
Line Cook Training
Line Cook Training provides mid skilled immigrant women with training to enter cook, prep cook and kitchen help roles.
Modular Employment
Modular Employment Training provides low skilled immigrant women training to enter housekeeping, room attendant and kitchen help roles.
Retail Training
Retail Training provides low skilled immigrant women training to enter retail roles.
