Program Description

This employment bridging program, delivered virtually Alberta wide, supports professionally trained immigrant mothers seeking employment. Participants benefit from digital skills training, placements, and individualized employment counselling.

Program Details

  • 4 weeks of paid pre-employment skill-building training
  • 8 weeks of paid Canadian work experience
  • Computer skills enhancement and job search support
  • English language enhancement
  • One-on-one employment counselling and career planning support
  • Individualized labor market assessment and action plan
  • Compensation for childcare and transportation costs

Eligible Clients

  • Mothers between 15-30 years of age
  • Permanent Residents, refugees and citizens
  • Unemployed or underemployed
  • Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) 5 or higher
  • Individuals receiving EI or non-EI

  • January 4, 2022 – March 18, 2022
  • March 28, 2022 – June 17, 2022
