Cheryl Oishi is the Chief Personnel Officer for Canada Diagnostic Centers, a community-based diagnostic imaging company. Cheryl is a third-generation Japanese Canadian, who has lived in Calgary the entirety of her life.
Having worked in the healthcare, public education, and oil & gas industry, Cheryl draws on 12 years of diverse experience overseeing Human Resources and 22 years of leadership experience. Additionally she has a Ph.D. focusing on Multiculturalism. Her areas of expertise include: board & management relations, board governance, policy development, employee & labour relations, performance management, employee engagement, compensation & benefits, OH&S, disability claims management, terminations, conflict mediation, investigations, program development, space planning and leasehold improvements, presentations.
Cheryl has been a member of the CIWA HR Committee since August 2020 and is the past chair of Alberta’s Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (CPHR). She also volunteers with Making Changes.
